NemoClinics a conçu un dispositif innovant et breveté de surveillance des fonctions vitales chez le rongeur nouveau-né (PhysioPups). PhysioPups permet la mesure non-invasive et simultanée de la respiration, de la fréquence cardiaque, des vocalisations ultrasoniques, de la température corporelle, de l’activité motrice et du métabolisme (consommation d’oxygène). Quatre animaux peuvent être monitorés en parallèle. L’enregistrement, le stockage et le traitement des données sont complètement automatisés.
Le dispositif PhysioPups ouvre la voie au screening à haut-débit de modèles génétiques rongeurs dès la naissance, et au test de l’effet de médicaments sur le développement des principales fonctions.
